Dear Sage,
You may not remember my face, or even who I am, but your Aunt Tori was my little girl before she married your Uncle Mitch. I want to share a special message with you today because you are very young--only two years old and may have a hard time remembering this day.
Today is January 14, 2012. I was there today when your family said goodbye to your Mommy. Your Daddy placed your Mommy's injured body into a very special box, which was designed to keep her warm and safe until Heavenly Father has prepared His Kingdom for all of His Sons and Daughters. Your Grammi and your Aunts made your Mommy's hair and makeup look perfect for today, because that was something your Mommy would have liked. She wore her beautiful white gown and robes, like she wore on the day she married your Daddy. The day they married, is the day they promised to live as Heavenly Father wanted them to live. Your Mommy and Daddy spent their entire time together trying to be like Jesus, and that makes you and your little brother part of an Eternal Family. You are sooo blessed that your Mommy and Daddy chose to do this before you were even born!
Today you wore a beautiful navy blue dress with white decorations and your hair was fixed up very pretty--just like your Mommy would have loved to see!
Your Mommy will be very busy helping Heavenly Father prepare His Kingdom. What a wonderful blessing for her! She had a special friendship with Heavenly Father and Jesus. She knows there will be times you wish she was close. She loves you so very much, but she is unable to use her voice right now. Her heart and your heart will forever be connected though, and you may feel her whisper in your heart sometimes. No one will be able to tell you what this feels like, but if you try to live like Jesus did, you will recognize her voice.
You may feel her whisper to your heart when you remember something about her and miss her very much. You may also hear her when you find it hard to Choose the Right. She will be aware of you, your brother, and your Daddy. Try to learn all you can about your Heavenly Father, and listen to your Daddy as he continues to teach you about Jesus. By learning about Jesus--you will learn about your Mommy. She wanted with all her heart for you, Raden, and your Daddy to be together in Heavenly Father's Kingdom.
Listen for her. Imagine her smile each time you Choose the Right. She had such a beautiful smile and charming giggle!! She will be so pleased with how much your are learning! Practice saying your prayers so you can speak easily to Heavenly Father about your fears and your worries. Even when your Mommy is very, very busy, Heavenly Father will be able to hear your prayers. And don't forget to tell Him all the exciting things you discover!
You are such a beautiful child! Your Daddy and Raden are very blessed to have you in their lives. Be a good example for your little brother as he grows and learns along with you! If you will live like Jesus, someday all of the people you love will be together again! That will be so wonderful!! Imagine how much everyone will want to talk!
Be brave and walk tall because you are a daughter of God--just like your Mommy!
